PREFERED FLAT ROOFING SYSTEM
RUBBERIZED BITUMEN SYTEMS are definitely today’s superior product when it comes to Flat Roofs. The system is melted on to the roofs sub structure with 3’ rolls and overlaps 3’” throughout each roll. The first layer is called the base and comes in various thicknesses. Then a cap sheet is melted directly to the base on a perpendicular direction also overlapping 3” allowing the whole system to become one. The cap sheet is embedded with colored granulars and is available in a variety of colors. We believe this to be a better product in that opposed to tar and gravel when roofs being serviced especially so for commercial and industrial, pea stone is not embedded into the system causing unwanted damage. This system is thick and durable unlike systems such as EPDM, which is relatively thin and easily punctured and only applied with a contact glue similar to rubber cement. We have often seen these systems bubble, hold water due to leaks. The final benefit to a rubberized roofing system is that if it is to ever leak, it is easily found, plus when the time comes to replace that system another layer can simply be applied. We offer a 10 year workmanship warranty on all complete re-roofs towards this system.
